The state legislature funded the Amer-I-CanProgram at six high schools in six cities in Connecticut.Between 1998-2002, the average GPA of the 1,122 students that completed the program was 1.53 before the training compared to 1.81 at the end of the training, representing an 18% increase.

During the same time period, school absences were reduced from 14,412 before the training to 10,504 at the end of the training period.The 3,908 fewer absences represent a 27% decrease.

During the same time period, a total of 6,606 disciplinary incidents at the schools were reported prior to the training compared to 1,775 at the end of the training period.The 4,831 fewer disciplinary incidents represent a 73% decrease.
