What: Amer-I-Can Peacemakers is the fundraising arm for the Amer-I-Can Foundation for Social Change, a non-profit organization founded by Jim Brown in 1988 to stop the violence, increase the peace and educate young minds. Amer-I-Can Peacemakers is a proactive initiative that will be capitalized by a fundraising campaign to raise $20 million for the express purpose of training and deploying Facilitators and Peace Squad Leaders into communities throughout America that are being ravaged by senseless violence and anti-social behavior. The official launch of the Peacemakers coincided with the 20th Anniversary Celebration of the Amer-I-Can Foundation for Social Change in Phoenix, Arizona, Thursday, January 31, 2008 (the star-studded event consisted a celebrity golf tournament and dinner gala showcasing the diverse group of Amer-I-Can supporters.
